   | Landscape Box Pendant 2 inches by 3 inches by 1 inch Sterling Silver, Copper and Shibuichi Mokume Gane Sheet Chain by Lux Revival Custom-Designed Piece - Not for Sale Inspiration - I have what I like to think is an extensive box collection, but I had never made one myself. Having spent many hours looking at the book, The Metalsmith's Book of Boxes and Lockets by Tim McCreight, I decided to take a crack at making one myself. This box started off simply, with an idea of creating a box pendant with a windowpane "lit" by a candle out onto a moonlit landscape. As you can see, the pendant took on a life of its own and became one of my favorite creations. I like to think of the scene within the box as a view to another world, where the sunsets are brilliant and the hillsides are peppered with strange silvery grasses.
