She is also in the process of buying her first home, and as we talked about the project, it became clear that her own empowerment in her life is an important focus for her at this time. The rings' design came out of this idea: they are contemporary and minimalist, and as I worked on them, I tried to conceive of them as a piece of artwork that she and her sister could look back on as a mark of a time when they accomplished many important goals in each of their lives.
